Mission Statement
The BC Cup Foundation, Inc., a section 501(c)(3) organization, was founded for the educational benefit of worthy junior golfers in Southeast Louisiana and Southern Mississippi. The organization was formed in memory of Colin Headrick and Barry Hogan, the sons of its founders, PGA professionals Jimmy Headrick and Tim Hogan. We are proud to say that we have awarded 93 scholarships totaling $344,000 in our 30-year history.
The Foundation awards college scholarships annually to high school seniors and college students based on financial need, academic achievement, community service, and love of the game of golf. Athletic ability and/or achievement are not considered in the award of these scholarships. The Foundation seeks to assist students who display the values instilled by the game of golf, such as sportsmanship, commitment, honesty, integrity, determination, and good judgment. Our scholarships are given directly to the college or university of the student’s choice.
The Foundation selects its scholarship recipients from junior golfers playing on the Kelly Gibson Junior Golf Tour. Please go to kellygibsonfoundation.org for more information about the summer golf tour.
