BC Cup Invitational
Founded 1994

Participants are invited from the Kelly Gibson Junior Golf Tour who compete in the summer throughout New Orleans and the Gulf Coast Region.

The BC Cup Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in memory of Barry Hogan and Colin Headrick, the deceased sons of PGA Professionals and close friends Tim Hogan and Jimmy Headrick. The Foundation awards college scholarships annually to high school seniors and college students based on financial need, academic achievement, community service and love of golf. Athletic ability and/or achievement are not considered in the award of these scholarships. The Foundation seeks to assist students who display the values instilled by the game of golf such as honesty, sportsmanship, commitment, integrity, determination and good judgment. The recipients are drawn from a pool of applicants participating in the Kelly Gibson Junior Golf Tour which serves junior golfers from ages 9 to 22. In addition to awarding academic scholarships, the BC Cup Foundation, Inc. hosts the BC Cup Invitational Golf Tournament each summer at Diamondhead Golf Club.
The BC Cup was originally named The Colin Cup, a junior golf invitational founded in 1994 in memory of Colin Headrick and hosted at Eastover Golf and Country Club. After Eastover's closure due to Hurrican Katrina in 2005, Tim Hogan offered to host the tournament at Money Hill Golf & Country Club in Abita Springs. Jimmy graciously accepted with one condition: the tournament would be renamed the BC Cup Invitational, the B representing Barry and the C representing Colin. Invigorated by the move of its tournament to Money Hill in 2006, the fundraising ability of the fledgling organization reached unsurpassed levels. Good friend of Tim Hogan, Lindsey Ladouceur joined the board as attorney and treasurer bringing immense knowledge and support to the Foundation. The BC Cup Foundation with The Colin Cup is proud to have distributed over $300,000 to 70+ deserving college students. All funds have been raised by individual donations anywhere from $10 to $2500. Future donations will help continue support many more junior golfers with their educational opportunities.

We are proud to announce that 2018 was our 25th anniversary.
